Guinea Alumina Corporation is the bauxite mining subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium, the world’s largest ‘premium aluminium’ producer. We mine and move bauxite, the ore from which aluminium is derived.

Rui Miguel Santos Pires
Manager, Safety
Rui Pires joined GAC in 2019 as Health and Safety Superintendent and was appointed Safety Manager in 2021.
M. Pires has over 20 years of experience in the Occupational Health and Safety area.
Before joining GAC, he has acquired extensive experience, across a wide range of industries such as Construction, Mining, Oil & Gas, Offshore and Renewables in several European, African and American countries.
