Alexios Kirillov has served as General Counsel, Head of Compliance & Company Secretary of GAC since 2019.
Prior to joining GAC, Mr. Kirillov was a senior associate at Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group. Mr. Kirillov has extensive experience in matters of construction, oil & gas, transport infrastructure, telecoms, the enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as geopolitical investment arbitration cases and the protection of foreign investments, particularly in Africa and the Middle East.
Mr. Kirillov is an attorney at law at the Paris Bar and a lecturer at University Paris II Panthéon-Assas, where he teaches international arbitration and state immunity. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from Oxford University and a law degree from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas (Master of Business Law (DJCE), international business certification). Mr. Kirillov is a French, Greek and Russian national.
