Guinea Alumina Corporation is the bauxite mining subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium, the world’s largest ‘premium aluminium’ producer. We mine and move bauxite, the ore from which aluminium is derived.

Adel Khalifa Al Shaer
Board member
Adel Khalifa Al Shaer has served as a Board member of Emirates Global Aluminium since 2022. Mr. Al Shaer also serves as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee, and as a Board member of Guinea Alumina Corporation.
From 2011 to 2018, Mr. Al Shaer was Director General of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, a major power and energy company in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Mr. Al Shaer was Finance Director of the company from 1995 to 2011.
Mr. Al Shaer has served as a Board member of Nakheel PJSC, a Dubai-based master developer, since 2010.
Mr. Al Shaer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from United Arab Emirates University. He has been a Fellow of the United Kingdom’s Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 1997.
