GAC launches the 5th edition of its training program at the Boke professional training center

As part of the enhancement and advancement of self-promotion of the communities around its facilities, the Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) launched, for the 5th consecutive year, customized training for 50 young (girls and boys) from the Sangarédi - Tanènè - Boké - Kolaboui corridor and Kamsar.
The program for this year – 2017 was launched on Monday, July 3, 2017, and will continue for 6 months at the Boké Vocational Training Center. It will enable learners to become professionals in the sectors of boiler making, electricity, and mechanics with a system that is subdivided into theoretical courses (10%) and practical courses (90%).
In the presence of the Learners' Monitoring Committee (CSA), the MFF Executive, the District Managers, and GAC Representatives, the GAC's Community Projects Officer commented, "This program represents a unique experience for learning and development for young people from the Sangaredi and Kamsar Corridors. I invite each organization (CSA, CFP, Learners) to play its role well, so GAC’s goal is achieved."
As a reminder, this program, which is in its 5th edition has already registered more than 500 beneficiaries from its previous editions, who today are leading active, professional lives.
The end of the training will be marked by a ceremony of presenting acknowledged certificates and end-of-training kits allowing the beneficiaries to better obtain future professional opportunities.
By renewing this initiative, GAC reiterates its commitment to support the development of local communities in the Boké region.
